A Corrosion-Resistant Centrifuge Solution for CPE Production
At a chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) production facility in Hubei Province, Huada PLD1600HF bag-pulling automatic bottom discharge centrifuges are used for the solid-liquid separation of granular CPE materials in a highly corrosive hydrochloric acid environment.
Project Requirements
The process material contains hydrochloric acid at a concentration of approximately 23% to 28%. In addition to stable separation performance, the centrifuge must provide reliable corrosion resistance, effective sealing and sufficient structural strength for long-term chemical production.
Selected Equipment
Huada selected the PLD1600HF bag-pulling automatic bottom discharge centrifuge for this application.
The machine combines automatic filtration, washing, dewatering, scraper discharge and residual cake removal in a controlled batch process. Its enclosed structure is suitable for demanding chemical production environments.
Corrosion-Resistant Configuration
To accommodate granular CPE materials and concentrated hydrochloric acid, Huada upgraded multiple sealing assemblies and optimized several structural components of the centrifuge.
Key configuration features include:
- 304 stainless steel surfaces protected with imported Daikin F30 polymer coating
- Zirconium alloy components in areas requiring both mechanical strength and resistance to hydrochloric acid
- Fluoroplastic materials applied to selected non-metallic components
- Sintered ceramic technology used in critical main-shaft components
- Optimized sealing arrangements for corrosive operating conditions
- Hydraulic control and automatic scraper discharge
The combination of metallic and non-metallic corrosion-resistant materials helps protect critical components while maintaining the mechanical performance required during production.
Verified Operating Performance
Under actual operating conditions, the PLD1600HF centrifuge achieves:
- Solid output per batch: approximately 500 kg
- Single operating cycle: approximately 15 minutes
- Stable solid-liquid separation
- Automatic and controlled cake discharge
- Reliable operation in a high-concentration hydrochloric acid environment
